Government Design Town Hall Meeting [AF1]

IIDA Government Forum, Co-Sponsored by GSA
Presented by:

Thursday, November 3 • 9 – 10 a.m.

Overcoming Obstacles to Sustainable Government Interiors
NeoCon Chicago provided Government Designers from across the country to engage and explore issues facing downsized spaces for the future, new challenges for VA Facilities and a focus on sustainability. Building on that momentum, IIDA hosts a town hall meeting, moderated by Katie Weeks of Eco Structure magazine, featuring audience participants and panelists debating the stumbling blocks of sustainability in government projects.

Explore the questions on government designers’ minds: Who are government agencies looking toward to lead this “Zero Impact” ideal, with standards varying from agency to agency? Is LEED the way to go to achieve their goals? What are the other options? Is work process changing to incorporate sustainability design? What are some of the biggest challenges regarding sustainability for government projects? If you have any questions please contact IIDA Headquarters at 888.799.IIDA.
